Within the framework of Colombiamoda 2026 and during the inauguration of the first physical store of Remanence, his clothing brand, Maluma once again opened his heart about a topic that has been with him for years: mental health.
Before the microphones of the podcast Things As They Are, the Colombian artist revealed that he made the decision to face anxiety and sadness without resorting to medication, driven by the solid refuge he has found in his home.
The interpreter explained that the arrival of his second child with Susana Gómez became the decisive catalyst for taking this position. According to the singer, this new personal moment gave him back the “strength and courage” to face emotional episodes from a natural perspective, convinced that together with his loved ones it is possible to overcome the most complex moments.
This revelation is the result of a long process that the musician has been sharing publicly. In recent interventions, such as in the podcast Se Regalan Dudas, the artist described it as almost a “miracle” to stay alive after years of undergoing high levels of stress and uninterrupted tours.
On that occasion, he detailed how lack of sleep, crying without apparent cause and physical tremors marked his routine, situations that he learned to name using neurolinguistics as “chiripiorca” to reduce anxiety's control over his mind.
The Antioquian's mental health crises reached their most critical point at the end of 2024, when he began to suffer panic attacks and severe headaches that even led him to fear a serious diagnosis. It was from that collapse that therapeutic accompaniment and reconnection with her emotions became her pillars of healing.
By making public his decision to heal without drugs, Maluma reaffirms his intention to prioritize his own well-being and the tranquility of his home.
