The labor market in the United States has been increasingly tight in recent years, with a slow hiring rate and low job offers, so preparing for the professional world not only requires time, but also a good education that guarantees the success and development of your career.
In this sense, recently the largest professional social network for job searches in the world, LinkedIn, published a new report in which it analyzed and ranked at least 50 of the best universities in the country where students prepare for greater professional advantages.
According to the analysis, the universities were evaluated in several categories: breadth of knowledge, professional practices and demand from recruiters, job placement, strength of the network of contacts and professional success of their students.
In this regard, Andrew Seaman, general editor of employment and professional development at LinkedIn, commented that many students currently conceive professional success differently than previous generations. “They want to develop skills, expand their networks and position themselves for a rapidly changing job market,” he said.
Of the 50 universities featured by LinkedIn, these are the top 10 on the list:
Stanford, Princeton and Duke universities continue to hold firm in the top two spots since last year's report. For Seaman, “skills and experience remain essential, but a strong alumni network can help open doors throughout one's professional career, whether through internships, mentoring, career guidance or new job opportunities,” he highlighted.
