In a remarkable feat, the Delhi Police have apprehended 27-year-old Vipal Taylor from Udaipur, Rajasthan, after a relentless pursuit spanning 48 hours and covering a distance of 1400 kilometers across four states. Taylor stands accused of murdering his live-in partner and concealing her body in a cupboard before fleeing the scene.

The arrest came after a high-stakes chase that traversed multiple states, with Taylor attempting to evade capture by fleeing in an ambulance. Allegedly driven by financial demands and the pressure of impending marriage, Taylor took the drastic step of ending his partner's life.

According to the Delhi Police, Taylor, a repeat offender from Surat, Gujarat, has a history of involvement in ten prior criminal cases. He was also wanted in connection with an Arms Act case in Surat and had sought refuge in Delhi to evade arrest. The victim had previously been implicated in three cases under the ITP Act.

The investigation was prompted by a tip-off from the deceased's father, who reported his daughter's murder and the subsequent concealment of her body in a residence in the Dabri area. Taylor, who had absconded following the incident, was identified as the primary suspect in the case.

Dwarka District Police mobilized multiple teams to track down the suspect, who was constantly on the move, shifting between states to evade capture. With the aid of technical surveillance, law enforcement personnel pursued Taylor across Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, ultimately apprehending him in Udaipur.

Interrogation revealed Taylor's extensive criminal history, including a prior arrest under the NDPS Act in Delhi in 2020. The victim, identified as Rukhsar, had herself faced legal troubles, with three cases registered against her under the ITP Act in Surat.

The motive behind the crime, as revealed during interrogation, stemmed from financial disputes and the victim's insistence on marriage. Frustrated by her demands for money and mounting pressure, Taylor orchestrated her murder while she was in an intoxicated state.

Further investigations uncovered Taylor's involvement in a violent altercation within the jail premises, where he, along with members of the Gogi gang, attacked an individual named Akash. Taylor had subsequently absconded while on parole, earning him the status of a notorious criminal with ten cases against him, including attempted murder and violations of the NDPS Act.
