With the sincerity that characterizes her, the singer Lucero addressed one of the most common questions now that her youngest daughter, Lucerito Mijares, is making her way into the music scene: why haven't they joined their voices in a collaboration?
In a recent meeting with the press, the interpreter of “El Privilegio de Amar” addressed the issue and made it clear that the young woman must build her own path and consolidate her career independently.
“In a figurative sense, as an artist, let him get away from his parents a little,” Lucero commented before the microphones of various media outlets.
In this sense, the so-called 'Bride of America' expressed that the path that her youngest daughter has built so far fills her with pride. “We will always be like this because we love each other, but I believe that she already has the strength, the voice and the talent to be able to do her own project,” he reiterated.
Finally, Lucero said she was sure that the artist has what it takes to forge a solid career in the music scene without having to keep her image linked to her and her father, the singer-songwriter Manuel Mijares.
However, the famous woman left the door open to a collaboration later, when the young woman's career is completely consolidated and the project in question has a special meaning for mother and daughter.
Meanwhile, singer Lucero has focused all her efforts on the release of “Fuertes Declaraciones”, the first single from her next studio album, which is titled “Mexican Connection”.
This project will premiere in February 2027 and features collaborations with Joss Favela, Majo Aguilar and Los Ángeles Azules. Regarding this union of talents, he declared: “They are contributing to the music and the legacy, especially regional and ranchera music, and I love them.”
