During the red carpet at the world premiere of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” in Los Angeles, Zendaya once again demonstrated why she is considered the undisputed queen of style in the film industry.
The 29-year-old actress captivated photographers and parade attendees with a black satin dress signed by the haute couture house Ashi Studio, belonging to its Fall/Winter 2026-27 collection.
The outfit stood out for a sculpted corset with a plunging neckline that fit her silhouette, then gave way to a skirt with architectural lines and an imposing train with volume that added drama to every step.
Behind this stylistic proposal is its stylist, Law Roach, who explained to Variety magazine the symbology hidden behind the design. "It's an abstract way of presenting the spider. In our minds, it's like the metamorphosis of this woman becoming this creature," Roach said during the gala.
The ensemble was completed with jewelry from the Boucheron maison, a wet-effect updo with delicate sculpted strands on the forehead, and gothic-inspired smoky eye makeup.
Zendaya was accompanied at the evening by her husband and co-star, Tom Holland, who reprises the role of Peter Parker in this fourth installment of the franchise produced by Marvel and Sony Pictures.
Holland did not hesitate to praise the work of the Emmy winner in statements to the press. "She raises the bar at all times. She is the type of actress who makes any scene better when she is in it. I feel very lucky to share the screen with her," said the actor.
The event in Los Angeles marks the culmination of a global promotional tour characterized by the acclaimed method dressing devised by Roach, which has included everything from archival John Galliano dresses from 1997 in London to a vintage Spider-Man t-shirt in Paris.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, will hit theaters around the world on July 31.
