After the Kabul attack, the Ministry of Home Affairs gave e-visas to 100 Afghan Sikhs
The e-Visa issued by the Government of India can also be obtained through online application.
Gurdwara Dashmesh Pita Sahib, located in Karte Parwan, Kabul, Afghanistan's capital, was attacked in the early hours of Saturday during Ardas. Two people including a Sikh devotee died in this attack. A Muslim guard is also included in the dead. Since the attack on the Gurdwara, the Ministry of External Affairs of India has been keeping a close watch. At the same time, the Ministry of Home Affairs has announced to give e-visas to 100 Afghan Sikhs and Hindus after the Kabul attack.
In August last year also, the Government of India had issued e-Visa
"After the Kabul attack, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has granted e-Visa to more than 100 Sikhs and Hindus in Afghanistan on priority," news agency ANI tweeted quoting sources. However, the e-visa was issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on August 15 last year even during the Taliban occupation of Afghanistan. The e-Visa issued by the Government of India can also be obtained through online application.
India is keeping a close watch
On the other hand, India's Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the cowardly attack on Gurudwara Dashmesh Pita Sahib in Kabul on Saturday and said that it is closely monitoring the situation after the incident. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar tweeted that the cowardly attack on Gurdwara Karte Parwan should be strongly condemned by all. We are closely monitoring the developments since we got the news of the attack. Our first and foremost concern is the welfare of the community. The Ministry of External Affairs said that India is deeply concerned about this attack.
PM Modi expressed concern
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep concern after the cowardly attack on Gurdwara Dashmesh Pita Sahib in Kabul. He condemned this attack and said in one of his tweets that I am shocked by the cowardly terrorist attack on Karte Parwan Gurdwara in Kabul. I condemn this barbaric attack and pray for the safety and well being of the devotees.
