Pollution has reduced slightly in Delhi-NCR. But still the air quality index remains in the very poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, Delhi recorded an average air quality index of 339 in the last 24 hours at 4 pm, which is slightly better than Saturday's 381. Here with a slight decrease in pollution, the government has withdrawn the order of GRAP-4. The ban on the entry of trucks and non-BS6 engine vehicles has also been lifted. The restrictions were imposed three days ago.
A large number of people were getting affected by the order of GRAP-4
The Air Quality Management Commission (CAQM) said that a large number of stakeholders and people are affected by the restrictions under GRAP Phase IV. The Commission said that there are no more stringent measures that can be taken to improve the air quality than those mentioned in GRAP Phase-IV. Therefore, it decides to withdraw the order dated November 3, 2022 for measures under Phase-IV of GRAP with immediate effect.
Restrictions applicable under GRAP-3 will continue
The measures under phases one to three of GRAP will remain in force and will be implemented, monitored and reviewed by all relevant agencies across the National Capital Region (NCR) to ensure that the level of AQI moves further into the 'severe' category. I didn't come.
