Taking the dead body of Lalan Sheikh since Wednesday morning, the people of Bagtui village protested by blocking the number 14 state road located at Rampurhat. On the other hand, the relatives of Lalan Sheikh are continuing their protest in front of the temporary CBI camp at Rampurhat. Basically, the relatives were seen demanding the arrest of the CBI officers involved in the murder of Lalan Sheikh. The protest led to a long traffic jam. Later, the police reached the spot and tried to control the situation. After this the dead body was sent to Bagtui village.

The villagers say that the protest against the unnatural death of Lalan Sheikh will continue. According to the information received, the dead body of Lalan Sheikh from Rampurhat Medical College was first demonstrated in front of the temporary CBI camp. After this the protest started by keeping the dead body on the road. Later the dead body was sent to Bagtui village. The villagers including the villagers of Bagtui village are protesting together demanding the arrest of CBI officials. The agitation against the CBI continues with banners and placards in hand.
Reshma Bibi filed a case against seven officers
Lalan Sheikh's wife Reshma Bibi says that her husband Lalan Sheikh died in the temporary CBI camp. That's why Lalan Sheikh's wife Reshma Bibi has lost faith in the central agency. She has applied that the CID should investigate the death of her husband. On the basis of Reshma Bibi's complaint, an FIR was lodged against seven officers of the central agency including CBI's DIG, SP. Rampurhat police station has registered a case under 9 sections including section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

According to police sources, a case has been registered under Section 302 murder, Section 323 and 325 assault and grievous hurt, Section 120B conspiracy, Section 448 unauthorized entry, 509 defamation of women and other serious charges. The matter has already been referred to the ACJM Bench of the Rampurhat Divisional Court. Meanwhile, Lalan Sheikh's body has been handed over to the family after the post-mortem at Rampurhat Medical College on Wednesday morning. First he claimed that the accused would not take Lalan's body until they were punished. However, the family members agreed to take the body on this day as the investigation has been handed over to the CID.
