Police-Naxalite encounter in Bendi forest of Latehar, three Naxalites killed, weapons recovered
Police got information about Naxalite organization JJMP supremo Pappu Lohra along with his squad to levy and come to execute some incident.

Three Naxalites of Naxalite organization JJMP were killed by the police in an encounter on Monday afternoon near Duba Talab of Bendi forest of Sadar police station area under Latehar district. The killed Naxalites have not been identified. The search operation of the police is going on in Bendi and nearby forests.
JJMP supremo's squad had come to execute some incident
In this regard, Latehar Superintendent of Police Anjani Anjan told that JJMP supremo Pappu Lohra along with his squad is roaming in the forests of Bendi to carry out levy and any incident. After this information, two teams were formed and raids were conducted. One team was headed by SDPO Santosh Mishra and the other team was headed by SI Dharmendra Kumar.
A large number of bullets including two INSAS and one SLR were recovered
On seeing the police team in the forest, the Naxalites started firing. The police retaliated and opened fire in which three of its Naxalites were killed. The SP said that a large number of bullets including two INSAS rifles and an SLR have been recovered from the slain Maoists. On the information of the encounter, DIG Rajkumar Lakda and Superintendent of Police Shri Anjan have reached the spot.
