Stevie Nicks was the star who sang at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding
The wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, which took place at Madison Square Garden, became a parade of hundreds of guest stars
When it comes to a star-studded wedding ceremony, the cast must be up to the task. And Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce knew it well. Therefore, for their long-awaited wedding last Friday at Madison Square Garden, the couple chose one of the most emblematic figures in music: Stevie Nicks.
The legendary Fleetwood Mac vocalist gave a magical performance during the wedding, as confirmed by Good Morning America hosts Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos, who were among those in attendance.
“We can confirm that yes, Stevie Nicks performed,” Roberts said during Saturday's broadcast.
A years-long friendship that blossomed at the altar
The connection between Swift and Nicks is not new. The mutual admiration between the two artists dates back to a joint performance at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Since then, their bond has strengthened to the point that Nicks wrote a poem as a prologue for Swift's 2024 album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
Additionally, Nicks' support for Swift and Kelce's relationship has been public. In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2024, the Fleetwood Mac singer expressed: "She's in a good place right now, and I think she has a good man. I hope they fall in love more and more and live together into the sunset."
That wish was fulfilled on Friday, when Nicks became the star musical guest at a wedding that brought together nearly 1,000 people at the emblematic New York venue.
Although Madison Square Garden is known for hosting massive concerts and sporting events, the ceremony was described by attendees as surprisingly intimate. Stephanopoulos commented that it was “a garden within the Garden” and “as intimate as could be possible considering it was being held at Madison Square Garden.”
The couple, who announced their engagement on August 26, 2025 with the post “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” opted to have Adam Sandler officiate the ceremony. Their brothers were the only members of the wedding party, and the bride and groom wore Dior designs.
Nicks' performance, which according to sources included emblematic songs by Fleetwood Mac, was the finishing touch to a wedding that is already considered one of the events of the year. The love story between the pop star and the Chiefs tight end, which began to sound strongly in 2023, found its fairytale ending with the musical blessing of one of the most unforgettable voices in rock history.
