The closure of all 10 routes of India Gate will increase the traffic pressure on about 17 routes and there is a possibility of massive jam.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Central Vista Avenue on September 8. In view of this program, Delhi Traffic Police has decided to close all 10 routes of India Gate from 6 pm to 9 pm. The closure of all 10 routes will increase the traffic pressure on about 17 routes and there is a possibility of massive jam. In such a situation, Delhi Traffic Police has made adequate arrangements for smooth movement of traffic. The traffic police has issued a traffic advisory on Tuesday keeping in view that people do not face problems.
In the advisory issued by Alap Patel, DCP of New Delhi district of Delhi Traffic Police, it has been said that due to closure of all 10 routes of India Gate, W Point, Mathura Road, Ashok Road, Q Point, Prithviraj Road, Akbar, SB Marg, APJ Abdul Kalam Road, Rajesh Pilot Marg, Windsor Place roundabout, Claridge's Hotel roundabout, Man Singh Road, MLNP roundabout, Janpath, Ferozeshah Road, Mandi House roundabout and Sikandra Road will increase the traffic pressure. The police have urged all the drivers to ensure their journey in advance.
10 routes of India Gate C-Hexagon will be closed from here
Tilak Marg from C-Hexagon to Bhagwandas Road Crossing, Purana Qila Road from C-Hexagon to Mathura Road, Shershah Road from C-Hexagon to Mathura Road, from C-Hexagon Dr. Zakir Hussain Marg to SB Bharti Marg Crossing, C-Hexagon to SB Bharti Marg Crossing Pandara Road, C-Hexagon to Q Point Shahjahan Road, C-Hexagon to Mansingh Road Crossing Akbar Road, C- Ashok Road from Hexagon to Jaswant Singh Road crossing, KG Marg from C-Hexagon to Madhav Rao Scindia Marg crossing and Copernicus road from C-Hexagon to Madhav Rao Scindia Marg crossing will remain closed. These routes will remain closed from 6 pm to 9 pm i.e. till the program is over.
Buses will be converted from here after 6 o'clock, after
6 o'clock buses will be converted from many points. These buses will remain converted till 9 pm. These points are- Moti Bagh Crossing on Ring Road, Bhikaji Coma Place on Ring Road, Lodhi Flyover, ITO-IP Flyover-Vikas Marg, Ring Road-Yamuna Bazar, Tis Hazari-Mori Gate Junction, Panchkuiya Road, AIIMS Flyover, SBM- Mathura Road, Neela Gumbad, Ashram Chowk, N-24 Ring Road, Ring Road-ISBT, ISBT-T Point and Dhaula Kuan.
