Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Wedding: Who Caught the Bride's Bouquet?
Ashley Smith, sister of NFL player Trey Smith, revealed on social media that she was the lucky one to catch the singer's flowers
The mystery behind one of the most anticipated moments of the “wedding of the year” was solved. Following the marriage between pop superstar Taylor Swift and American football player Travis Kelce, held on Friday, July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York, fans finally know who got the sought-after bridal bouquet.
The lucky girl does not belong to the circle of Hollywood celebrities or music royalty, but rather comes from the NFL family itself. This is Ashley Smith, older sister of Trey Smith, the Kansas City Chiefs offensive guard and the groom's lifelong teammate.
Ashley, who also works for the NFL as a Player Engagement Manager, attended the big event with 1,000 guests as her brother's date. At the end of the evening, during the traditional flower throwing, fate wanted the bouquet to fall directly into her hands.
Through her Instagram account, the young woman shared her excitement by publishing a carousel of photos holding the floral arrangement, which was composed of a delicate mix of sweet peas in pale pink tones and wildflowers known as Queen Anne's lace, all held together by a classic white ribbon.
The guest's post not only revealed the destination of the flowers, but also offered followers an exclusive look at the wedding mementos, showing an embroidered lace handkerchief that was given to attendees with the famous line from the song “Blank Space”: “So it's going to be forever,” along with a monogram with the initials “TT” and the date of the ceremony.
