This does not mean that those who participate less are less interested, but rather that they have a different way of relating to digital spaces.

Another increasingly studied factor is fatigue caused by technological overload. In these cases, responding to messages is no longer an automatic action. The user usually evaluates whether the content really requires a response or whether they can let it pass without affecting the conversation.
