According to sources cited by NBC NEWS, Trump would be “exasperated” because there is no unified position within his national security team on the strategy to follow. An ally of the president assured the aforementioned media that the president did not expect the negotiations with Tehran to be so complicated.
"The president is exasperated. I don't think he believed it would be so difficult to get the Iranians to accept an agreement," said the source consulted.
The report indicates that during a recent meeting with his national security advisers, Trump expressed his frustration over the lack of a clear path to achieve his objectives. However, the White House denied that such a confrontation had occurred.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt denied that there was a fracture within the presidential team and affirmed that Trump remains in control of final decisions. "This is false. The president has a great team that he trusts," Leavitt declared to the same medium.
