Acting Mayor Karen Bass was the candidate who received the highest number of votes, with just over 34%, followed by Councilor Nithya Raman, with 29%.

The result of the primary was certified by the Los Angeles County Recorder, which endorses that Bass and Raman will face each other in the general election on November 3 in the race for mayor.
