According to information published by HuffPost, Trump jokingly claimed that he should have the right to keep the millions that some people send by mail to the White House, a statement that provoked laughter from the audience and a gesture of disapproval from one of his collaborators.

The scene occurred during the signing of an executive order to create the Presidential Commission for Military Spouses, headed by Jennifer Rauchet, with Desiree Thompson Sayle as executive director.
While recalling the work Sayle did during his first term, Trump explained that packages, letters and money sent by supporters frequently arrive.
"There are millions, literally. They send them to me. I should be able to receive them!" said the president.
The reaction that caught attention
Although several attendees laughed at the comment, Desiree Thompson Sayle's reaction was different. The official slowly shook her head and, according to images of the event, articulated a clear “no,” a gesture that the president himself immediately noticed.
"He doesn't want to give it to me. He should have the right to it," Trump responded with a laugh.
Shortly after, the president clarified that it was a joke and closed the exchange with a comment in which he assured that Sayle considered that he was a better president than Joe Biden.
