Honduran international defender signs for Alverca, Vinicius Jr. club in the Primeira Liga
Julian Martinez was announced as the new signing of the Portuguese first division club, of which the Real Madrid striker is co-owner

Honduran international defender Julian Martinez was announced as the new signing of Alverca, a club in the Portuguese Primeira Liga that has among its owners with Real Madrid player Vinicius Junior.
Martinez, 21, stands out for his speed and technical ability when releasing the ball, as well as for his versatility in the way he acts in the defensive axis, Alverca explained in a statement.
The Honduran, who can play both in the center and on the left flank of the defense, comes to European football from CD Olimpia in his native country, where he trained and won an Apertura League and three Clausura Leagues with the first team.
He recently earned a place in the senior Honduras national team and was one of the starters for his country in the last Gold Cup, in which he reached the semifinals.
"I know this is the ideal step in my career. Alverca is entering a historic era. "It's an honor to represent this symbol," Julian Martinez said in a statement released by his new team.
Martinez is the 29th signing this season for Alverca, who returned to the Portuguese first division after a 21-year absence and were acquired last February by a group of investors that includes the Brazilian Real Madrid winger.
