Leon presented Diber Cambindo and Nicolas Vallejo in the style of Frankenstein
Colombian Diber Cambindo and Argentine Nicolas Vallejo were presented by Leon in a very peculiar way, in the style of Frankenstein
The Leon management wanted to add some flavor and cinematic style to the official presentation of Colombian striker Diber Cambindo and Argentine Nicolas Vallejo as new reinforcements for the Clausura 2026 tournament of Liga MX by including a video with details from the recent feature film Frankenstein.
Accustomed to adding style and polish to the presentations of their new players, the Leon management, through its marketing and press department, presented the players in a way that resembled a movie trailer more than a press release for the two new signings.
With the arrival of Cambindo, the Leon team fills the gap of a significant and, above all, impactful center forward, and it seems they have faith in the Colombian striker, who, after an unremarkable stint at Cruz Azul, was traded to Necaxa where he found a niche and began to become a force to be reckoned with offensively, to the point of being given a heartfelt send-off by the Necaxa fans.
“Thank you for your goals, the excitement, for always giving your all for this jersey and for becoming part of our history, Diber. Our best wishes for what's to come.” With those words, Necaxa added a touch of spice to the farewell of a player who earned the respect of the fans and the locker room.
The Other Side of the Coin at Leon
While things took a different turn at Leon to welcome Cambindo and the Argentinian Vallejo, they presented a video with substantial audiovisual production, narrative, music, and suspense (Frankenstein-style), a clear message from the Esmeraldas' management to try and a new group of fans with this type of media-driven announcement.
Cambindo arrives with the expectation of providing dynamism and an offensive presence. The management is confident that his adaptation will be quick and that his recent experience in Liga MX will allow him to fit in without long adjustment periods.
Meanwhile, Nicolas Vallejo arrives from Liverpool FC of Uruguay, After a stint playing in his home country with Independiente and Talleres de Cordoba,it is hoped that he can demonstrate at least more than half of the merits he has earned in his short career. Thus, Leon adds two new names to his project, and it does so with a presentation that did not go unnoticed. The challenge now will be on the pitch, where Diber Cambiando will seek to respond to the hype surrounding the announcement with performance and results, while Vallejo will try to be the explosive striker that the Bajio squad is waiting for.
