GTA VI already has official cover and new trailer
The final image of the game confirms protagonists, neon aesthetics and pre-sale date. The price is still a mystery.
Rockstar Games ignited the hype for Grand Theft Auto VI even more with a new trailer that not only confirms the final cover of the game, it also marks the beginning of a marketing campaign that is clearly going to go all out before its launch at the end of the year. The piece lasts just a few seconds, but it's enough to get the entire community talking with a mix of nostalgia, fan service, and visual clues about what awaits us in Vice City.
In addition, we already have a clear date for the start of the pre-sale, although we still do not have a key piece of information that many players are waiting for the official price of the next GTA.
Rockstar shows the definitive cover of GTA 6
The new trailer published by Rockstar focuses almost entirely on the official cover of GTA 6, which finally stops being a leaked concept and becomes the definitive image of the game. Far from reinventing the wheel, the studio is betting on the formula that so many fans already associate with the saga: panels that bring together small scenes and characters in an instantly recognizable collage.
In the center of the image, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos stand out, the two protagonists who will lead this new criminal story in Vice City. They are surrounded by iconography that screams Florida on all four sides: guns, cars, a flamingo, an alligator and all that imagery that mixes glamour, danger and humid heat.
The choice of colors also plays a key role, the cover is dressed in very marked pink and purple tones that instantly evoke that retro neon atmosphere that many associate with the classic version of Vice City. The result feels nostalgic but at the same time modern, just what is expected from a delivery that wants to connect with those who grew up with the franchise and with a new generation that will discover it for the first time.
Rockstar has already published a high-resolution version of this illustration on its official website, designed to become a desktop background or mobile wallpaper without losing any detail. A square version has also been shared that most likely anticipates how we will see the game icon on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S interfaces.
A short trailer, but full of details
This new video does not seek to show more gameplay, but rather to make it clear that the marketing of GTA 6 enters its final phase with a short, direct and highly thought-out piece for social networks and video platforms. The trailer barely exceeds thirty seconds in length, but it feels like a clear message to the community, there are months of campaign ahead and this is only the beginning.
Beyond the cover, the clip reinforces the tone that we had already seen in the first official trailer massive open world, modern Vice City aesthetic, a mix of luxury, chaos and black humor that the saga manages like few others. It is not a trailer loaded with new scenes, although it does help to establish in the minds of the players the image that will accompany the game in physical and digital stores, networks and merchandising.
All this fits with what Take Two had already announced, the company had been talking for some time that GTA 6 was preparing to revolutionize the genre again and that the strong marketing campaign would arrive very close to the launch. Zelnick, its CEO, insisted that the team's goal is to achieve something that has not been done before, so it is not surprising to see how each piece they publish is measured to the millimeter.
The game is scheduled to arrive on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series This temporary window allows Rockstar to take advantage of both the peak launch season and the Christmas campaign in one fell swoop.
GTA 6 pre-sale and what we still don't know
The trailer closes with another key piece of information that many fans were waiting for. The pre-sale of GTA 6 will begin on June 25, 2026. According to official information, reservations will open in digital stores and other selected businesses, which includes the main online platforms and certain physical retailers that usually work hand in hand with Rockstar. This opens the door to seeing special editions, packs with additional content and even exclusive collectibles for some markets.
The very close pre-sale works almost as a starting signal for the entire hype machine that usually surrounds a new GTA, advance reviews, leaks, theories and, of course, an avalanche of content on social networks. In terms of Google Discover, this type of specific ads (dates, covers, new trailers) usually have a high potential for clicks among users who closely follow the big franchises.
However, there is one detail that Rockstar has kept very close to its chest, we still do not officially know the price of the game. In a context where some AAA releases have already made the jump to higher rates, the absence of that figure fuels all kinds of speculation among players and analysts. For now, the company is limited to confirming the release date, platforms, cover and pre-sale, leaving that information for later, probably when reservations are about to open or at the same time they are activated.
