Complaints about bad smell coming from warehouse fire in Los Angeles
More than 900 complaints have been filed about bad odors from the burned facility in Boyle Heights; Lineage faces violations over warehouse stench
A little more than a month after the fire at a Lineage warehouse, with millions of pounds of frozen food, complaints are increasing about the bad smell originating from the facility located in Boyle Heights.
The South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) reported that in one week it received more than 900 complaints about the stench originating from the burned building, so Lineage Logistics is already accumulating additional violations related to the bad odor problem.
As of Monday, AQMD had issued seven violations to Lineage for discharging quantities of air pollutants that cause injury, harm, annoyance or discomfort.
