An EF-0 tornado touched down on Christmas Day in the Boyle Heights area; the phenomenon caused damage, such as damaged roofs and shattered windows
The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed that an EF-0 tornado touched down in the Boyle Heights area on Christmas Day, causing some damage, such as damaged roofs and shattered windows, due to an intense storm winter.
NWS experts went to the area, accompanied by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, to assess the damage caused by the strong winds at the site of the tornado, as well as to review surveillance camera footage.
According to the NWS, the EF-0 tornado struck at approximately 10:10 a.m. on December 25, with winds exceeding 80 miles per hour.
