India now on Bangladeshs neck Will set foot, counter to Mohammad Yunus China plan is being prepared
Bangladesh China Plan: Mohammad Yunus government of Bangladesh is preparing to reopen its airbase near the Indian border with the help of China. The Indian government has also started preparations to counter this Chinese plan of Yunus.
After Mohammad Yunus took over the reins of the government in Bangladesh, anti-India activities have increased there. Meanwhile, news came that the Yunus government is now preparing to reopen the Lalmonirhat airbase of Rangpur division with the help of China. This airbase is just 20 kilometers away from the India-Bangladesh border, and this can give China an opportunity to station its soldiers very close to India.
This news rang alarm bells in India’s strategic and military circles. The biggest concern is that this airbase is very close to the Siliguri corridor connecting India’s north-eastern states to the rest of India. This area, just 22 kilometers wide, is called ‘Chicken Neck’, which is very important from India's security point of view. In such a situation, the possibility of the presence of Chinese soldiers is being considered like a dagger in the throat.
In such a situation, India's Yunus has started working on a counter to this Chinese plan. In this connection, the plan to restart the Kailashahar Airport located in the northern part of Tripura is being implemented. This airport was closed since the 1990s, but now the news is that it will not only be prepared for civilian flights, but if needed, the fighter planes of the Indian Air Force will also be able to fly from here.
The Kailashahar airbase is not only strategic for India, but also historical. During the Indo-Pak war of 1971, the 'Kilo Flight' of the Bangladesh Liberation War took off from this airbase. This unit later laid the foundation of the Bangladesh Air Force. Now by restarting the same airbase, India is preparing to repeat strategic history once again.
The Mohammad Yunus government of Bangladesh seems to be moving closer to China and Pakistan. Sheikh Hasina was a trusted friend of India, but after Yunus came to power, relations between Delhi and Dhaka have soured.
In this context, the Chinese plan regarding Lalmonirhat airbase is a direct challenge to India. But India is now fully prepared to respond to it. On May 26, a high-level team of the Airport Authority of India (AAI) visited to survey the Kailashahar airbase and has started the process of redevelopment in consultation with the state government.
Not only this, India has now approved the production of its own advanced stealth fighter jet 'AMCA'. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday gave the green signal to the fifth generation fighter jet project under the 'Make in India' initiative.
It is clear from all these efforts that India is now fully prepared to respond to any audacity of China near its borders. The reopening of Kailashahar is emerging as not just an airport but as a strong symbol of India's strategic thinking and protection of sovereignty.
