Due to the formation of a low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal towards the northwest, the monsoon has reached prematurely in many states of the country. While there is a possibility of heavy rain in the areas of Odisha and West Bengal adjoining the Ganges, in the next 24 hours, a rain alert has been issued in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh. The monsoon which has reached central India is moving rapidly towards the northern parts of the country. It is likely to cover entire northern India in the next two days.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to favorable weather conditions, Southwest Monsoon is expected to cover the entire country except for the South Rajasthan and Kutch region of Gujarat in the next 4-5 days. Light rain in some parts of Bihar

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain may occur in most areas of Uttar Pradesh. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, monsoon can knock in UP in the next 2-3 days. Southwest Monsoon may enter UP via Purvanchal via West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar.
Red Alert in these districts of Maharashtra
Since the onset of Southwest Monsoon in Mumbai, continuous rain continues. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of heavy rain for June 13 in Ratnagiri and Raigad districts of Maharashtra. The Meteorological Department said that heavy rain may occur at some places in Mumbai and neighboring Thane.
Monsoon knock in Madhya Pradesh a week ago
The India Meteorological Department said that the southwest monsoon has reached Madhya Pradesh seven days ahead of its normal time. IMD has issued an orange alert for the districts of Jabalpur and Shahdol divisions. Senior Meteorological Scientist, Meteorological Department, Bhopal P.K. Saha said that in the last 24 hours, many parts of the state including Bhopal, Jabalpur and Gwalior have received rain.
Monsoon may hit Delhi by June 15
Monsoon may reach ahead of time in the national capital Delhi this time. This year monsoon can knock in Delhi 12 days before the normal date i.e. on 15th June. According to the Meteorological Department, earlier in the year 2008 also, the monsoon had reached Delhi on June 15. He said that favorable conditions are prevailing for the early arrival of monsoon in Delhi.

The Madhya Pradesh Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for very heavy rain in 11 districts and a yellow alert for heavy rain in 2 dozen districts. Moderate to heavy rains may occur over Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra's Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa. Light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells is likely over Southeast Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Coastal Karnataka, Telangana, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and parts of Assam.
Light to moderate rains are possible over Madhya Pradesh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, parts of Uttar Pradesh, South Gujarat, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Light rain is very likely over Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and Interior Karnataka, while Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh and Delhi may receive dust storm and thundershower activities.
