75% marks in class 12th has again been made mandatory for JEE Main. That is, now even after qualifying JEE Main, if there is not 75 percent marks in 12th, then you will not get admission in the top engineering institutes of the country. This requirement is 65 percent for SC, ST students. Through JEE Main, one can get admission in undergraduate courses of IITs, NITs and other big engineering institutes. Due to the Kovid-19 epidemic, the requirement of 75 percent marks was abolished from the last three sessions.

Joint Admission Board has taken this decision. A senior official of the National Testing Agency (NTA) says that students have been studying in a normal way for a year now, so the compulsion of marks in JEE Main 2023 has been re-implemented.

Year of thousands of students wasted: There are many students who are preparing again by not taking admission anywhere else due to not getting better score in JEE Main in Kovid period. Among these, there are a large number of students who do not have 75 per cent marks in 12th. After the new rule, now they will not be able to take admission. The issue of such students was raised in the meeting of the Joint Admission Board, but it was not given due attention.

The student must have passed in all subjects in class 12th. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory for B.Tech and BE. Apart from this, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or Technical Vocational can be other subjects. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are compulsory subjects for Bachelor of Architecture and Mathematics is a compulsory subject for Bachelor of Planning.

Fill only one application form

Only one online application form has to be filled in both the sessions of JEE Main. After the first session, the old application form will be used in the second session also. Filling more than one online application form will lead to debarment from the examination.
