Will Mahua's Parliament membership be cancelled? Ethics Committee report claims to have made such a recommendation

The troubles of TMC MP Mahua Moitra, who is accused of taking money and asking questions in Parliament, are going to increase. Actually, the Ethics Committee has submitted its report after the inquiry. According to media reports, in this 500 page report, a demand has been made to cancel the Parliament membership of Mahua Moitra. The report says that what Mahua Moitra did is extremely objectionable, immoral and a crime. The committee report has recommended strict action against the TMC MP. Besides, a legal and institutional investigation into the matter has also been recommended.

Claim- Recommendation to take strict action in the report

According to the report, Mahua Moitra shared her parliamentary login and password with an unauthorized person, businessman Darshan Hiranandani, and took money and other gifts in return. This is a serious matter and there should be strict punishment for it. According to media reports, this report will be submitted to the Lok Sabha Speaker during the winter session of Parliament and further action will be decided after discussion. Mahua Moitra may appear before the Ethics Committee on Thursday evening.

Mahua Moitra had accused the committee

Let us tell you that on November 2, when Mahua Moitra had appeared before the Ethics Committee, after the meeting, she had accused the committee of asking unethical and personal questions. Committee chairperson BJP MP Vinod Kumar Sonkar had questioned Mahua Moitra about her relationship with Darshan Hiranandani. Besides, questions were also raised about Jai Anant Dehadrai. Let us tell you that it was Jai Anant Dehadrai who had complained against Mahua Moitra to CBI. After which BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had complained about this matter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

CBI claims to investigate

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has also claimed in a social media post that the Lokpal has ordered a CBI investigation into the allegations against Mahua Moitra. Nishikant Dubey wrote that on the basis of my complaint, the Lokpal has ordered a CBI investigation into Mahua Moitra's case of corruption and putting national security at stake. It is alleged that Mahua Moitra had taken money from businessman Darshan Hiranandani and asked questions in Parliament targeting PM Modi and businessman Gautam Adani. Besides, Mahua Moitra is accused of sharing her parliamentary login password with Darshan Hiranandani.
