President Donald Trump announced that, during an operation, the US army killed the Venezuelan Héctor Rusthenford Guerrero Flores, alias “Niño Guerrero”, who was considered the leader of the terrorist organization known as the Aragua Train.

“Under my direction, the United States Southern Command executed a rapid and lethal kinetic attack to successfully eliminate Niño Guerrero, the infamous leader of the Tren de Aragua, one of the most bloodthirsty terrorist organizations on the planet,” the New York magnate wrote on the Truth Social platform.

According to the intelligence services, the 43-year-old criminal was originally from Maracay, Aragua, and his criminal career initially meant that he was deprived of his freedom in the Tocorón prison in 2000.

Apparently, in said place, Guerrero Flores began to weave a criminal network that, in a short time, acquired impressive power.

A decade later, now known as “Niño Guerrero”, he was arrested again by the police of his hometown and accused of trafficking in stolen goods and drugs.

Although it had been determined to keep him behind bars, in 2012 he escaped from prison and was recaptured a year later.

Later, in 2018, he was sentenced to 17 years in prison for the crimes of homicide, drug trafficking, identity theft and concealment of weapons of war, to name a few charges.

As he entered and escaped from prison, Hector Rusthenford ascended the criminal ladder until, last December, a Manhattan federal court charged him with conspiracy, terrorism, drug importation and crimes related to firearms.

In fact, the Department of Justice offered a reward of up to $5 million dollars to anyone who would provide reliable information that would lead to his capture.

"At the beginning of my administration, I kept my promise to designate the Tren de Aragua as a foreign terrorist organization, deport thousands of criminals and declare war on the cartels, who have long been fighting our citizens, while weak leaders left the United States defenseless and on the defensive. The Tren de Aragua terrorists no longer have safe haven in Venezuela or anywhere else and, under my leadership, we will find these ruthless murderers and drug traffickers in any time, any place, and we will send them to hell, where they belong,” Trump said in his message.
