Daniel Siad, a French model recruiter linked for years to Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead at his home on the outskirts of Paris, in a case that once again puts the network of contacts of the American financier, convicted of sexual crimes, under the spotlight.

According to information published by CNN, Siad's body was found on Monday in his home in Colombes, a suburb of the French capital. The Nanterre Prosecutor's Office confirmed the discovery and indicated that an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

His name appeared thousands of times in Epstein's files

Siad was recently interviewed by the aforementioned network, where he assured that he was never aware that the women he introduced to Epstein had been victims of abuse. He even maintained that he trusted him because he had told him that he had already served justice for his crimes.

"I trusted him and believed he was a professional. I never knew of anyone I introduced him to who had had any problems," Daniel Siad stated in said interview.

The investigation remains open

French authorities continue an investigation into links between Epstein and the modeling industry, while reviewing information related to Daniel Siad. In addition, the recruiter also faced in the past an accusation of rape made by a model for events that occurred in 1990 in France, a complaint that he always denied.

Siad's death comes amid renewed international interest in the Epstein case and as investigations continue into people who were part of his inner circle.
