Jennifer Garner told how her separation from Ben Affleck affected her career
The actress confessed that after her separation she prioritized raising her children, which led her to pause her profession and reject long-distance projects.
Jennifer Garner spoke openly about how her separation from Ben Affleck directly impacted her family life and the decisions that defined her course in the entertainment industry.
In a recent interview with InStyle, the actress explained the complex dynamics of balancing motherhood with the demands of filmmaking, revealing the professional sacrifices she has made in recent years.
The interpreter explained that, after the birth of her children and the subsequent breakup of her marriage in 2015, she decided to significantly reduce her workload.
“We had a big transformation in our family, so I pretty much stopped working for a long time,” confessed Garner, who shares her three children, Violet, Fin and Samuel, with Affleck.
Even after having resumed her activity with projects such as the series “The Five Star Weekend”, the actress maintains strict selection criteria so as not to destabilize her environment.
Garner avoids productions that require her to travel for long periods outside of Los Angeles, where she resides with her children under a shared parenting scheme. Their current priority is not to break school or family routines.
The actress admitted how complex it is to coordinate set schedules with everyday life: “Work in this industry is reduced to your schedule, not to the children's activities.”
Despite these challenges, Garner emphasized that she tries not to convey a negative view of her profession to her children and avoids apologizing for working, instead opting for a selective approach that allows her to stay active without moving away from her family.
