Venezuelan influencer Lele Pons opened her heart to share one of the most complex episodes of her personal life: the challenge of navigating her pregnancy without the pharmacological treatment she received for her mental health disorders.
During a candid conversation on The Squeeze podcast, Pons detailed how the withdrawal of her medications affected her emotional stability while she was waiting for her first-born, Eloísa, born on July 26, 2025.
Pons, who throughout his career has been very transparent about his diagnoses of severe Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Tourette Syndrome and depression, explained that he had been receiving continuous treatment since he was 10 years old.
Upon confirming her pregnancy, the medical indication to withdraw the drugs led her to experience, for the first time in almost two decades, daily life without the support of medication.
"I didn't like being pregnant. I'm going to be honest, because I had to stop my medication and it was the first time," admitted the content generator.
The artist explained that the withdrawal symptoms and lack of pharmacological regulation meant that she could not enjoy the stage as she would have liked, describing the first trimester as a critical phase in which she constantly felt the need to “get away from the danger zone.”
The interruption of treatment caused the manifestations of his OCD to intensify drastically, destabilizing his routine and affecting the dynamics with his close environment. "It was horrible. It was as if everyone thought: 'I had never seen her, I didn't recognize her'. She was another person, she was not stable. Having severe OCD was out of control. And I had never been out of control like that," Pons confessed during the interview.
With these statements, the celebrity seeks to break with the idealized vision of pregnancy and make visible the real challenges faced by women who must simultaneously deal with motherhood and pre-existing mental health conditions.
