Get ready because The Devil Wears Prada 2 is now officially available to watch on Disney and Hulu. After a successful run in theaters, fans can now enjoy the film from the comfort of their homes.

The sequel proved to be a huge success, grossing an impressive $677 million at the global box office. This phenomenal performance propelled the entire franchise over $1 billion globally, cementing its place as a cultural and commercial phenomenon.

Released in theaters on May 1, 2026, the film arrived exactly 20 years after the release of the original The Devil Wears Prada in 2006. It set new records for the franchise with an impressive $233 million global debut and a $76.7 million opening weekend in North America.

The original cast

The sequel brings back its beloved main cast. The audience once again meets Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), now features editor for Runway magazine. Her fearsome former boss, Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), struggles to keep the publication afloat after a scandal.

Meanwhile, her former partner Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt) has risen to a high-level executive position at Dior, controlling the advertising dollars Runway needs.

In addition to Hathaway, Streep and Blunt, the film features the return of Stanley Tucci, Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman reprising their roles from the original.

They are joined by an excellent cast of new members, including Kenneth Branagh, Patrick Brammall, Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, B.J. Novak, Justin Theroux and Pauline Chalamet. Director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna also returned to direct the sequel, alongside producer Wendy Finerman.

One of the great attractions of the film are the celebrity cameos, which add glitz and glamor to the fashion world. The most notable is pop superstar Lady Gaga, who stars in the film and has a dramatic scene with Miranda Priestly. The cameo came about after Meryl Streep personally called Gaga to ask her to participate in the film.

The list of cameos doesn't end there; fashion icons, media personalities and sports figures appear. Notable names include Donatella Versace, Ashley Graham, Kara Swisher, Jenna Bush Hager, Paige DeSorbo, Hannah Berner and Tina Brown.

Costume designer Molly Rogers ensures the film is a visual feast, dressing the characters and stars in a wide variety of fashion looks.

The sequel arrived on the streaming platform on July 29, as Disney announced on all its digital platforms.
