On Wednesday, an official said that there was information about the presence of terrorists in the Kham area of Budgam. After this several teams were formed to trace them. When the team swung into action, all five were arrested at a hideout.

According to sources, investigation has revealed that the five were conspiring to attack security forces deployed in Jammu and Kashmir and disrupt the Amarnath Yatra. The terrorists caught in a joint operation by police and army have been identified as Rauf Ahmed, Hilal Malik, Taufiq Dar, Danish Ahmed and Shaukat Ali.
