Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was seen defending a Lingayat saint, accused of rape, on the pretext of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah defends Union Home Minister Amit Shah rape accused Lingayat saint. He said that he too was once a murder accused and later got a clean chit. Many MLAs and MPs are accused of murder. But no one is guilty until proven guilty.
It is worth mentioning that last month, after a complaint by a 38-year-old woman, a case was registered at Mazrabad police station in Mysuru. The complainant had alleged that four girls, including his two daughters, were raped by Muruga. He is the chief priest of Jagadguru Murugarajendra Vidyapeeth Math in Chitradurga, Karnataka and is considered one of the most influential Lingayat leaders of Karnataka.
