The coronation of the New York Knicks in the NBA Finals could have sparked a shooting that occurred this Saturday night in which a mascot was shot dead by Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers.
According to reports, at approximately 9:00 p.m. Saturday, a caller called the LAPD to report a woman screaming at an apartment complex in the 7500 block of Jordan Avenue in the Canoga Park neighborhood.
When officers arrived at the scene, they made contact with both the person who made the report and the woman who was allegedly yelling.
