Kerala Flight Protest: Showing black flag to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan cost three Youth Congress workers dearly. The Kerala Police has registered a case against these three youth Congress workers for trying to assassinate the Chief Minister. On Monday night, these people tried to show black flag to the Chief Minister on the flight coming from Kannun to Thiruvananthapuram.
Case registered against 3 workers of Youth Congress
A case was registered against all three on Tuesday. All three have been charged with attempts to murder, criminal conspiracy, restraining officers, unlawful assembly, and endangering the safety of aircraft and passengers. Two of the three accused, Farzin Majeed and Naveen Kumar, have been arrested. Both of them are residents of Kannur. The third accused has been identified as Sunit Kumar.
CPI(M) termed it a 'terrorist act'
Kerala's ruling Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) has termed the demonstration of Youth Congress workers as a 'terrorist act'. The Congress, on the other hand, has defended three Youth Congress workers, saying they had staged a symbolic protest against the oppressive regime.
CPI(M) ransacked 30 Congress offices
CPI(M) workers ransacked the Congress headquarters in Kerala as well as at least 30 Congress offices after the Chief Minister was shown a black flag in an aeroplane. Even the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Payyanur was damaged. This statue was installed in 1936 to commemorate Bapu's visit to Kerala.
Jayarajan alleges of trying to attack Chief Minister
CPI(M) leader EP Jayarajan, who was traveling in the ship with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, alleged that Youth Congress workers were planning to attack the Chief Minister. Suddenly they reached in front of him. But, immediately the security personnel stepped in and saved the Chief Minister.
Youth Congress workers accused of attacking
Congress leader VD Satheesan, on the other hand, accused Jayarajan and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's security personnel of attacking two Youth Congress workers. He said that both the workers have suffered serious injuries. Jayarajan falsely alleged that both were intoxicated. Satisan asked who gave him the right to attack? Congress will complain against him.
The protesters tried to go to the Chief Minister
Police have told that all three were sitting in the first row in the plane. As soon as the plane landed in Thiruvananthapuram, two of them started shouting slogans against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Not only this, both the youth started trying to go near the Chief Minister's seat. With the help of security personnel, both the protesters were chased away from the chief minister and arrested.
These provisions are there in the Aviation Rule
Any person who misbehaves with passengers, assaults, threatens or verbally or physically assaults any person on an aircraft, he shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year and a fine of Rs 5 lakh. Is. Not only this, the person who attacked is banned from air travel for 6 months. That is, he will not be able to travel by plane for 6 months.
DGCA and IB sought report
The Director-General of Civil Aviation and Intelligence Bureau has sought a report from the Kannur and Thiruvananthapuram Airport Authority on the security lapse.
