Chief Minister of the state
Devendra Fadnavis met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at around 10 pm on Monday in a letter. In which he demanded to conduct a floor test. In a letter to Governor Koshyari, he has mentioned that the
Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government has come down to a minority in the state. Some MLAs of
Shiv Sena have turned rebel, who are not supporting the alliance.

According to media reports, the
BJP swung into action on Tuesday after waiting for a week in the political crisis arising out of the revolt of
Shiv Sena leader and minister Eknath Shinde in
Maharashtra. Met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Fadnavis requested Koshyari to instruct the Uddhav Thackeray government to prove majority in the assembly.
BJP leader Fadnavis claims that the
Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government with the alliance of
Shiv Sena, NCP and
Congress has come down to a minority. Because 39
Shiv Sena MLAs of Shinde faction have said that they do not support the government. During the interaction with the media, Fadnavis said that therefore we have submitted a letter to the Governor, requesting him to ask the government to prove majority in the House.

BJP leaders in
Delhi earlier in the day before meeting Koshyari at around 10 pm. According to sources, before Fadnavis reached the
Raj Bhavan here, eight independent MLAs, who were earlier associated with
Shiv Sena, sent emails from
Guwahati demanding a floor test, claiming that the Thackeray government had lost majority. The rebel MLAs led by Shinde are also staying at the
Guwahati hotel.
