A commotion ensued in Joravarpura village near Bhilwara city when a shepherd witnessed a panther attacking one of his goats. Reacting swiftly, the forest department team and local villagers mobilized to locate and apprehend the panther. After an arduous effort, the elusive predator was eventually rescued from a nearby mine with the assistance of villagers and the deployment of a cage.

According to Sanwarlal Jat, a resident of the village, the shepherd, Badri Lal, was grazing goats when the panther suddenly struck, preying on one of the animals. Upon receiving the distress call, both Sanwarlal and the forest department team sprang into action. With the help of JCB machinery, villagers repaired the road leading to the mine and strategically positioned cages to ensnare the panther.

The successful capture of the male panther has alleviated immediate concerns, yet authorities remain vigilant as the female panther and her cubs are believed to still inhabit the vicinity. To mitigate further risks, a second cage has been installed near the mine to secure the entire panther family.

Regional Forest Officer Ranger Prashant Bhatt and Forester Lalchand Chandra emphasized the ongoing threat posed by the unrestrained panther family, underscoring the need for continued vigilance and preventive measures to ensure the safety of villagers and livestock in the area.
