In Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) unit of Steel Authority of India, four workers were injured when hot liquid iron fell from the blast furnace on Sunday morning. According to the information, one laborer died in this, while three were injured. The condition of all three is said to be serious.

According to the information, DSP's contract workers were repairing the railway track in the blast furnace department on Sunday morning. At the same time hot liquid iron suddenly started falling, in which all the four workers were trapped.

One worker died in this while three workers were shifted from Durgapur Steel Plant Hospital to Mission Hospital in critical condition. After the incident, representatives of the police and labor unions arrived. How the accident happened is not yet known.
