Home kitchen food businesses may be eligible to receive subsidies as a benefit of an assistance program offered in Los Angeles County.
The program, which began in 2014, has awarded financial subsidies to more than 300 home-based food businesses, among more than 500 interested parties have submitted their applications.
One of the program's beneficiaries is Adan Castro, who, along with his wife and father-in-law, started a business from their home in Pomona over a year ago, selling the traditional Mexican dish Sinaloa-style beef head.
