Hunter Biden, son of Joe Biden, announced that the former US president's health is deteriorating due to the metastasis of cancer detected in his body.
Weeks after leaving the White House, the 83-year-old Democrat was diagnosed with a type of prostate cancer that quickly spread to his bones, causing bone metastasis.
Days later, he was optimistic that receiving treatment in pill form would improve his health, which did not happen.
Later, in September, he underwent surgery to remove signs of cancer from his forehead, which involved a surgical procedure known as Mohs surgery, which involves cutting thin layers until the tissue is clean of diseased cells.
Despite this, the former president's health is declining, as his son Hunter recently revealed during an interview with the BBC's "Newsnight" program.
"The cancer has spread, it has metastasized to the bones and other places. It's really sad to see," he said.
Moved by the complex situation that his family faces by not being able to do anything to help the former president, the controversial Delaware lawyer confessed to feeling sad when he saw how his father was consumed enduring the pain of his illness.
“The only thing I would say about my father, about his health right now, is that I wish he would complain more, because he is not well,” he stressed.

In the final stretch of his administration, several Republicans blamed the former president's team for allegedly hiding the fact that he was ill and, despite this, allowing him to campaign with the aim of trying to be re-elected.
