Marjorie Taylor Greene, former representative from Georgia, sees that President Donald Trump could use the war against Iran as a pretext to cancel the next elections to define who will govern from the White House starting in 2028.

The controversial woman who decided to resign from her seat a few months ago when she felt pressure from the New York magnate for demanding the publication of the files related to Jeffrey Epstein and due to the criticism leveled against Mike Johnson, leader of the House of Representatives, gave an interview to the host and commentator Alex Jones and in it she acknowledged fearing that the next elections will be postponed by Trump.

The former congresswoman bases her concern on a dialogue held last year between the New York magnate and Volodymyr Zelensky, former president of Ukraine.

"So, you're saying that elections can't be held during war? In three and a half years, you mean that if we go to war with someone, there won't be any more elections? Great!" Trump said, looking directly into Zelensky's eyes.

In this regard, Taylor Greene indicated that Trump's words should be taken quite seriously.

"Knowing President Trump, I saw him and thought... I don't know if he's joking. He seems incredibly dangerous to me and no one should ever accept it," he said regarding the possibility of postponing an electoral process under the argument of participating in a war conflict.

Immediately afterwards, the former representative indicated that, under no circumstances, should a president be allowed to extend his term for more than two terms.

"There cannot be a third term, no. That goes against our laws, it goes against the Constitution, there is no third term. And if this country is at war our elections should not be canceled," he said.

The 79-year-old conservative's detractors agree that he is trying to find some means to prevent his departure from the White House in 2028 or prolonging his administration through his unconditional supporters James David Vance or Marco Rubio.
