Trump Cabinet adopts sauerkraut, grass-fed meat diet
Some of the officials who make up the presidential cabinet are experimenting with a diet based on the consumption of sour cabbage and a certain type of meat.
The adoption of diets to lose weight and improve health appears to have spread to President Donald Trump's cabinet, where some of its members are trying to achieve the stated benefits.
According to a report released by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), seduced by the idea of reducing sizes, losing weight and even rejuvenating their skin, Robert Francis Kennedy Jr., Secretary of Health; Howard Lutnick, Secretary of Commerce; Sean Duffy, Secretary of Transportation; and even James David Vance, vice president of the nation, decided to resort to a change in diet based on the experience of doctor Sean O'Mara.
O’Mara is a physician, former lawyer, and former U.S. Army colonel specializing in optimizing human health and performance. He is world-renowned for his focus on eliminating visceral and organ fat through lifestyle strategies instead of medications.
In fact, for a long time he has been in charge of providing advice to various politicians on the importance of taking care of their diet.
Based on this, the designated members of the presidential cabinet modified their way of eating and now abstain from consuming sugar and alcohol.
On the other hand, they consume large portions of red meat and fermented foods, the latter help digestion, stimulate the intestinal microbiota and reduce visceral fat, the deep fat that surrounds the internal organs.
Although it may sound crazy, the WSJ mentions that the officials cited have taken to adding portions of sauerkraut (sauerkraut in French) to most of their dishes.
In addition, to mitigate hunger between meals, they also consume eggs, pickles and berries, all to stay away from flour and greasy foods.
The newspaper also claims that Kennedy Jr. adopted the diet last year and since then, in addition to losing 20 pounds of weight, he has completely eliminated the symptoms of atrial fibrillation.
Regarding James David Vance, it is mentioned that, on the recommendation of the Secretary of Health, he decided to check the results of the diet since the beginning of the year.
As for Howard Lutnick, it is mentioned that he went from avoiding red meat to consuming it frequently and since then he claims to feel more energetic without putting his size at risk.
