Rudy Giuliani, former mayor of the city of New York and unconditional defender of President Donald Trump for a long time, is encountered tra hospitalized in critical but stable condition, as reported by his spokesperson, Ted Goodman, in a publication on social networks this Sunday.
Shortly after Goodman's publication, Trump wrote on social media that “our fabulous Rudy Giuliani, a true warrior “But and the best mayor in the history of the city of New York, without a doubt, has been hospitalized and is in critical condition.”
He then praised Giuliani's efforts to challenge the 2020 election results on his behalf, adding that “he was treated very poorly by radical left-wing lunatics.”
Goodman did not offer further details. Giuliani was injured in a car accident late last year.
Giuliani became known as the “Mayor of the United States” after leading the city of New York during the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks,2001.
After the 2020 presidential election, Giuliani and other advisors toured the country accusing Trump's opponent, former President Joe Biden, of trying to steal the election and of making false claims about the results.
Subsequently, a jury forced him to pay US$148 million for defaming two electoral officials whom he had accused of electoral fraud.
“Mayor Giuliani is a fighter who has faced every challenge in his life with unwavering strength, and continues to fight with that same strength at this very moment,” Goodman said in a social media post.
“We ask you to join us in praying for the mayor of the United States, Rudy Giuliani,” he added.
In September of year, Giuliani, who will turn 82 this month, was travelling as a passenger in a Ford Bronco SUV.
According to his bodyguard stated at the time, he suffered a thoracic vertebra fracture, multiple lacerations and bruises, as well as injuries to his left arm and lower leg.
