Raul Jimenez continues to contribute his part for Fulham. The Mexican striker recently scored a penalty that gave Fulham three points in their match against Nottingham Forest. The Mexican national team striker was praised by his coach, Marco Silva. The former Club America forward is an effective penalty taker. With his latest goal against Nottingham Forest, Raul Jimenez has now converted 11 consecutive penalties in the Premier League. The Mexican striker equaled one of the leaders in this category. The legendary Yaya Toure also scored 11 goals from the penalty spot. Marco Silva highlighted Jimenez's precision.
“He's a great penalty taker, not just with Fulham; he showed that when he played in Portugal. The composure, the quality, the courage to go until the last moment when the goalkeeper isn't moving, that's the moment to be very assertive in the way he takes the penalty, and he did,” said the Fulham manager.
Fulham satisfied
Raul Jimenez doesn't have such outstanding numbers this season. The Mexican striker only has 4 goals and 2 assists in 20 games this season. However, Marco Silva highlighted the commitment of the 34-year-old veteran. Jimenez's contribution is both on and off the field. "In terms of work ethic, attitude, and commitment on the field, he always gives his all for the shirt and fights like he's 18 or 19 years old, but he's not; he's 34 and plays 90 minutes week after week. He always gives everything for the shirt and deserves these kinds of moments," Silva emphasized.
