Los Angeles Chargers lose Najee Harris for the rest of the season
Najee Harris was injured on a non-contact play in the game against the Denver Broncos
The Los Angeles Chargers received a major blow on Monday when it was confirmed that their star running back, Najee Harris, will be out for the rest of the 2025 NFL season after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon in his left leg.
Coach Jim Harbaugh explained that the injury occurred in the second quarter of the game in which the Chargers won 23-20 to the Denver Broncos.
Harris was injured on a non-contact play while trying to catch the ball from Justin Herbert. Television cameras clearly captured the moment the tendon ruptured, confirming the severity of the action.
The 27-year-old running back, along with rookie Omarion Hampton, formed one of the most dominant duos in the league, a key piece in the Chargers' aspirations to compete for the AFC title.
