The NFL will honor Martin Luther King Jr. with the phrase "Choose Love" engraved in the end zones during the divisional round playoff games, as part of its social justice initiatives and commemoration of the legacy of the leader of the civil rights movement in the United States.

The phrase “Choose Love” was first introduced in 2022 when the Buffalo Bills adopted it as a message of unity for their community following a mass shooting in that New York state city. From that point on, the slogan was more widely adopted by various NFL teams and was also used in last year’s Super Bowl, played shortly after an attack in New Orleans.
