Man dies hit to flee from ICE in Los Angeles
The victim was trying to escape from federal agents at a Home Depot in Monrovia, Los Angeles County; it is the second fatal incident due to ICE raids
A man was hit and killed when he tried to escape a raid by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Monday. Thursday morning in Los Angeles County.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:00 a.m. when federal immigration agents were conducting an operation at the Home Depot located at 1625 Mountain Avenue, in the city of Monrovia, in Los Angeles County.
Monrovia City Manager Dylan Feik said that during the operation by federal ICE agents at the store, the victim attempted to flee and ran onto the 210 Freeway, near Evergreen Avenue, into the eastbound lanes, where he was struck.
