Robert Francis Kennedy Jr., Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), launched “The Real Food Show,” a YouTube program dedicated to teaching Americans how to cook healthy foods affordably.
In the first episode of what promises to be a season, the Washington lawyer appears as a collaborator of celebrity chef Andrew Gruel preparing a menu that includes salmon pancakes with apple, white beans and green salad.
Since assuming responsibility for ensuring the health of Americans, Kennedy Jr. has made changes at HHS focused on combating obesity present in a large sector of citizens nationwide.
Even as a way to motivate people to exercise and get in shape, the former member of the Democratic Party uses social networks to share some videos where you can see how muscular his body is at 72 years old.
Starting this year, he began promoting new dietary guidelines for Americans to replace fast food, highly processed foods and refined carbohydrates.
To do this, he classified vegetables, fruits, proteins, dairy products and healthy fats at the top of the food pyramid and whole grains at the bottom.
“Thanks to President Trump, we turned the food pyramid around and put real food back where it belongs: at the center of the American plate.
I'm traveling across the United States, connecting with renowned chefs to teach families how to prepare delicious, nutritious meals with natural ingredients, all at affordable prices.
America, it's time to eat real food. "Let's get to work!" said Kennedy Jr. during the first broadcast of his program.
Kennedy Jr.'s observations have reached President Donald Trump by pointing out that he should modify his diet, since he eats poor quality food.
"The funny thing about the president is that he eats terrible food, like McDonald's, and, you know, candy and Diet Coke. He drinks Diet Coke all the time. However, he has the constitution of a deity. I don't know how he is alive, but he is," he said at the beginning of the year during an appearance on the podcast "The Katie Miller Podcast."
