Attacks by the Ukrainian Army in the Russian border region of Belgorod caused the death of six people yesterday, Monday, according to authorities there, while kyiv reported eight deaths after Russian attacks.

Russia's military has stepped up its bombing of Ukraine, killing dozens of people in missile strikes since the beginning of the month, and kyiv has stepped up retaliatory strikes.

In Shebekino, in the Russian border province of Belgorod, a Ukrainian drone hit a passenger bus, interim governor Alexander Shuvaev reported on social media.

"Five innocent civilians, including a minor, died as a result of this attack (...). In addition, 23 civilians were injured," he said. A subsequent attack on a car wash left one man dead, Shuvaev added.

In Ukraine, authorities said Russian attacks on the cities of Pavlograd and Kramatorsk left two people dead each, and another four people were killed in the southern regions of Odessa and Zaporizhzhia.

In Pavlograd, in the Dnipropetrovsk region (central-eastern), two people died and 15 were injured, according to the head of the regional administration, Oleksandre Ganja.

In Kramatorsk, one of the last two major cities in the eastern region of Donetsk, still under Ukrainian control, Russian bombings caused two deaths and four injuries, according to regional police via Telegram.

Meanwhile, in the southern Zaporizhzhia, one person died and nine were injured, according to the regional official, Ivan Fedorov.

In addition, seven people were injured in an attack against Kherson (south), according to the regional administration.

In the early hours of Monday, Moscow and its region suffered a major attack by Ukrainian drones that left 10 injured, including three Chinese, and caused a fire in a major industrial complex.

The Russian Investigative Committee announced the opening of an “attack” file following this “massive attack by Ukrainian forces in the Moscow region.”

Three injured in an attack in the Black Sea against a ship transporting gas to Ukraine

An attack on a ship in the Black Sea transporting propane gas to the Ukrainian port of Reni caused a large fire on board and left three sailors injured, Romanian President Nicusor Dan announced on Tuesday.

“Last night, the LPG tanker Gas Lisbon, flying the Liberian flag, was hit outside Romanian territorial waters, about 20 nautical miles [approximately 37 km] from the Romanian coast,” Dan stated in X. He specified that the crew had to be evacuated.

Authorities are trying to determine the origin of the attack.

Dan considered the incident to be “most likely related to the illegal war of aggression being waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine.”

The attack on the ship, which was carrying more than 3,790 tons of propane from the Egyptian port of Alexandria, caused a large fire on board.

Two Romanian rescue ships intervened to evacuate the 17 crew members, three of whom “needed emergency medical attention,” according to a statement from the rescue services.

“Two of the victims had burns that covered between 10 and 15% of their body, and the third suffered multiple injuries with hemorrhage,” the note states.
