“Tonight, the Russian Armed Forces launched a massive attack with high-precision weapons from air, land and sea, as well as drones, against companies in the military industry, telecommunications and logistics centers in the cities of kyiv, Lviv and the regions of Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne and Dinpropetrovsk,” reads the statement issued by the Russian military command, published on the Russian messaging network MAX. Additionally, Russian forces attacked “cargo ships in the Yuzni port and on the high seas, carrying military cargoes.”
Eight fatalities
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the massive attack launched by Russia left 8 dead.
Of the total number of fatalities, at least five lost their lives in the town of Radushne, around the city of Krivi Rig, where three children died along with their parents when a ballistic missile directly hit their house, Zelensky said. Two other children of the family were rescued alive from under the rubble, added the president, who also reported dozens of injuries in the town.
The Ukrainian president also spoke of dozens of residential buildings, businesses and infrastructure destroyed and damaged in the regions of kyiv, Lviv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Mikolayiv, Vinnitsia, Cherkasy and Ivano Frankivsk.
“This Russian terror demonstrates once again that protection from the threat of Russian missiles is the most important thing,” said Zelensky, who urged his allies to supply more ballistic missiles.
