The MV Hondius cruise leaves Tenerife, Spain, after evacuating all passengers
26 crew remain on the ship and it is expected to take about five days to arrive to Rotterdam
The cruise MV Hondius, affected by a hantavirus outbreak, concluded the disembarkation of the last 28 passengers from the port of Granadilla, in Tenerife, Spain.
The members of this latter group went down directly to the dock, after the ship had to be docked due to adverse weather conditions.
The boat, on which 26 crew remain, will now take about five days to arrive to Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, according to its owner Oceanwide Expeditions.
French infected was admitted to intensive therapy
A total 94 cruise passengers disembarked this Sunday to take different flights to their places of origin, where they are under medical supervision and subjected to quarantines of different characteristics decided in each country.
On the other hand, a woman who was among the five French people who were evacuated this Sunday presented hantavirus symptoms during the flight and tested positive.
Her condition worsened during the night and she was admitted to intensive care in Paris and she is “stable”, according to French Prime Minister Sébastian Lecornu.
